Here is local news from Waco which is an over grown college town of 125,000 people.....

    ================================

Sunday afternoon, Waco Police, assisted by Department of Public Safety troopers, police officers from several cities and deputies from the McLennan County Sheriff's

Office were surrounding the Twin Peaks after several people were reported shot during a rival motorcycle gang fight, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

By the time all was said and done, almost every local law enforcement agency, including surrounding counties, had police at one scene or another and both state and federal lawmen were on hand, as well, Swanton said.

Police initially said three gangs were involved, but later said factions from at least five gangs took part in the melee.

Police have not provided specific gang names to the media.

Police and troopers were in the parking lot trying to secure the area and protect citizens when a fight broke out inside the restaurant and spilled into the parking lot.

Swanton said the fight quickly escalated from fists and feet to chains, clubs and knives, then to gunfire.

Gang members were shooting at each other and at police and officers at the scene fired their weapons, as well, Swanton said.

Other patrons in Twin Peaks and some employees locked themselves in a freezer to escape the fight.

The scene at the Market Place between Don Carlos and Twin Peaks was absolute chaos, Swanton said.
"It is one of the most violent scenes I've seen in my 34 years as a police officer in Waco," Swanton said.

Swanton said officers recovered more than 100 weapons from the scene and there were several vehicles that had bullet holes in them.

Swanton said no officers and no civilians were injured.

Swanton said police are prepared to deal with any additional bike gang members who choose to come to Waco.

Department of Public Safety Trooper D.L. Wilson said officers arrested three men near the Cabella's store at about 4:30 p.m. after they seized weapons from them.
Wilson said officers recovered weapons from all over the parking lot and likely would call for ladders so they could check the roves of nearby buildings for more weapons.

A Waco Transit bus was sent to the scene to transport suspects from the mall to the McLennan County Jail and to a downtown command center.
Swanton also said police have been trying to work with management at Twin Peaks for several weeks but have been thwarted in their efforts to avoid a situation like happened Sunday afternoon.

Swanton said the carnage likely could have been prevented if management at the restaurant had been more cooperative with police.

A McLennan County official said the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has revoked Twin Peak's alcohol license for a period of seven days while the investigation continues.

A witness who was having lunch across the parking lot at Don Carlos said he and his family had just finished eating and walked into the parking lot when they heard several gunshots and saw wounded being taken from the fight scene.
"We crouched down in front of our pick-up truck because that was the only cover we had," the man, who asked not to be identified, said.

He and his family were traveling to Salina, Kansas and decided to stop for lunch.

He said he saw several wounded men being treated.

He also said there were several police officers at the scene and ambulances were responding to the scene to aid those hit by gunfire.

Also as a result of trying to get a handle on the gangs they have shut down the majority of strip clubs several years ago and other businesses that have gang connections. They still find someone to open up shop for them with a business license in someone elses name but as soon as LE can prove it is for a gang it is shut down.

Last winter we had a cop shot here by a HA just a few blocks away from my home and he spent months in the hospital and will never work again. They just pulled him over one night in a random check as they knew he was a gang member and keeping an eye on him.

On the lower mainland about a month ago shootings started up again and were going off every night for 2 weeks up setting the public and finally ended with a murder and since then it has been pretty quiet. It's everywhere.

Well Stumbler, the difference is that the people of Waco are not out in the streets rioting, looting and burning down businesses.

But seeing how you like to talk about double standards, will Al and Jessie be going to Waco to help the poor white folks down there protest and riot against "the man"???????

Just twenty years last month since Waco made the news with 82 dead, including 20 children, from a religious group siege and a shoot out with law enforcement officers which ended in a massive fire. This time it was bikers causing the trouble, but once again all armed to the teeth. Hardly two society groups one would associate with guns and killing - religion and riding bikes!

What is happening in this World?

God drowned, save but a handful, everyone on Earth because it had become so evil many moons ago - according to the Bible -
I wonder if another Noah is already building ARK Number two in readiness?

Thanks for pointing out the failures of the NRA policies and how gun control actually does work. Just not when the NRA whines.

Feel free to list specific instances where my post pointed out NRA policy failures, as well as the instances where my post pointed out how gun control really does work. Because I missed all those parts of my post.

I can ad an inability to read to the lists of your faults I take it. The biker community refers to them as clubs but law enforcement on two continents consider them a gang. This includes me and the information in the Wikipedia page.
Also if you are going to blame the NRA for this your a bigger idiot then I thought. This gang is an organized crime syndicate that rivals the Mafia. If you would of bothered to read the list of criminal activities I posted you would see they have committing crimes in numerous countries including those with a strict gun control laws. Or at you going to blame the lack of gun control for them shooting people in Australia and Scandinavia.

Cossacks had stopped paying fees to the Bandidos

    Quoted from the link above
A Bandidos chapter president had approached a Cossacks leader and told him of the "dues and fees required from all Cossacks chapters in Texas," the bulletin said. "Initially, the Cossacks chapters paid their dues but felt disrespected once members became aware that some Bandidos support clubs did not pay the same fees. As a result, the Cossacks chapters stopped paying the Bandidos."

A gang is a club; a club is a gang. You're arguing over whether to call something by two words that mean the same.

170 people now charged with assorted things related to this incident.

Does Texas have that stupid law that some other American states have adopted, where you can sentence a man for murder even if you can't prove he killed anyone, and still do so even if he CAN prove that he DIDN'T? Cos that could be an awful lot of life sentences.

Does it say anyone has been charged with murder yet? No it says they are being charged with offenses related to the incident. This more in likely includes things like illegal weapons charges, assault and battery, and several others. They may not be able to prove guilt in all of the deaths but I'm willing to bet they can prove that other's committed other crimes.

Does that say they are doing because they will be shut down or they are doing because they chose to. There's the difference what Brandi was saying is the government was shutting down businesses that allowed them to wear colors.

Just being there wearing colors might be enough to warrant an accessory charge.
